NiSource Issues Bonds For Liquidity  December 11, 2009


--Sara Rosner NiSource has issued $500 million of 6.125% notes as it looks to ensure liquidity ahead of upcoming maturities and to take advantage of conducive market conditions, according to a spokesman. The company priced the 12.5-year notes Dec. 1, and closed the deal Dec. 2. Calls to David Vajda, v.p. and treasurer in Merrillville, Ind., were not returned by press time.
